Martens made a par on the second playoff hole while Brooke Graebe won the Women's Championship Flight
Grant Martens of San Diego, Calif., won the 2025 Yorba Linda City Men's Championship Flight on the second playoff hole at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, Calif.
Martens shot rounds of 72-70 in the 36-hole tournament to force a playoff at 2-under with Blake Barens of Costa Mesa, Calif. Martens made a par on the second playoff hole to secure the win over Barens.
Barens also carded rounds of 72-70 to get to 2-under and force the playoff.
Martens is no stranger to the winners' podium, having won the 2022 and 2023 San Diego City Amateur, the 2022 Oceanside City Championship, and the 2024 Southern California Golf Association Public Links.
This is also his third top-eight finish in the last four years at the Yorba Linda City Championship. He graduated from Cal Poly University in 2013, where he played golf.
Tegan Andrews of Agoura Hills, Calif., finished in solo third place at 1-under, and Nicholas Davis of Laguna Niguel, Calif., finished in solo fourth place at even par.
In the Women's Championship Flight, Brooke Graebe of Yorba Linda, Calif., finished 3-over to secure the four-shot win, and in the Senior Championship Flight, Loren Lopeman of Newport Beach, Calif., finished 11-over to secure the three-shot win.
