Lottie Woad is tied for the lead in the individual competition with Amanda Sambach and Rebecca Skolar of Virginia
After one round of the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Florida State leads the team competition by four shots at 5-under. The first day consisted of 27 holes, with Florida State shooting 4-under 284 in the first round and 1-under 143 on the final nine holes.
TCU and Virginia are T2 at 1-under after both teams shot an opening round of 4-under 284, but a final nine holes of 3-over 147 saw them fall off the pace of Florida State.
Houston is in solo fourth place at 2-over, and Colorado is in solo fifth place at 6-over heading into the final round.
Florida State won the team competition last year by ten shots, with Lottie Woad finishing T2 and Mirabel Ting finishing in solo seventh place in her collegiate debut. Woad is currently ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.

In the individual competition, Woad, Amanda Sambach of Virginia, and Rebecca Skolar of Virginia are all tied at the top of the leaderboard at 4-under. Woad shot an opening round 4-under 68 and was tied with Moa Svedenskiold of Houston.
Sambach and Skolar reached 4-under during the final nine holes, while Svedenskiold is T4 at 3-under. Mirabel Ting of Florida State and Lauren Olivares of NC State are also T4, with Svedenskiold at 3-under.
Vivian Lu of Washington and Kirsten Angosta of TCU are T7 at 2-under. 15 golfers shot even-par or better in the opening 27 holes.
