After one round of the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Florida State leads the team competition by four shots at 5-under. The first day consisted of 27 holes, with Florida State shooting 4-under 284 in the first round and 1-under 143 on the final nine holes.

TCU and Virginia are T2 at 1-under after both teams shot an opening round of 4-under 284, but a final nine holes of 3-over 147 saw them fall off the pace of Florida State.

Florida State won the team competition last year by ten shots, with Lottie Woad finishing T2 and Mirabel Ting finishing in solo seventh place in her collegiate debut. Woad is currently ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
