Hurwitz registered a wire-to-wire victory at Napa City to finish two shots clear of the field
Bill Hurwitz held steady and captured the 2024 City Championship with a two-round total of 141 (-3), finishing two shots clear of the field. The Hayward, California native fired rounds of 70-71, maintaining solid consistency throughout the tournament.
His poised performance was enough to secure the win, holding off Joseph Schiebold, who finished with a 145 (-2) after rounds of 72-73. Schiebold, fresh off a victory at the Santa Rosa City Championship just two weeks ago, found himself in a tense three-way tie for second.
Despite a strong challenge in the final round, Schiebold’s resilience earned him the runner-up spot. UC Davis student Zack Tarter (73-74—147) took third, while local favorite Drew Kuehl, the pro at the Napa Golf Course, finished fourth with a total of 148 (74-74).
A promising talent, Austin Wang, who recently committed to Claremont McKenna College, rounded out the top five with a 147 (73-74).

36-hole stroke play tournament with Championship and Senior flights. Seniors are players age 55 and over. Both events are part of the NCGA Points program.
