North Atlantic Amateur: Jackson Brimfield races to the top the field

Brimfield birdied holes No. 15, 17, and 18 in the final round to win the second iteration of the championship by two shots

Jackson Brimfield finished 3-under to win the second annual North Atlantic Amateur at Crystal Springs Golf Club, the Wild Turkey Course, in Hamburg, N.J., by two shots over Jack Wetzel.

Brimfield, a rising senior at Louisville, carded rounds of 69-72-69 to get to 3-under.

Brimfield birdied holes No. 15, 17, and 18 in the final round.

Jack Wetzel finished in solo second place at 1-under, and Tyler Lee finished in solo third place at 1-over.

The first edition of the North Atlantic Amateur was played at the Architects Golf Club in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The winner on the men's side was Melan Dhaubhadel, from England. He finished at 9-under with three rounds of 3-under 68 to secure the four-shot win.

On the Women's side, the 2023 champion was Michelle Liu from Canada. Michelle is a member of the Golf Canada Squad.

This event is created by the Founders of the Orlando International Amateur, the Sunshine State Amateur and the Next Tee Invitational (all of which are elite amateur tournaments hosted in Florida and welcoming some of the best amateur golfers from the US and abroad).

Debuting in 2023, this 54-hole stroke play event for men and women aims to draw an elite national field. A cut is made after 36 holes, and the field is open to any amateur golfer, national or international, and will be made up of the best-ranked golfers amongst the applications received.
