Todd Johnson and Brad Wilder extend lead at AGC.com Two Man links at Sand Valley

A record 30 teams are in the Father & Son Division as Johnson and Wilder lead the Championship Division by five shots
Todd Johnson of Lebanon, Oh., and Brad Wilder of Lexington, Ky., continue to lead after the first two rounds of the AmateurGolf.com 2024 Two-Man Links and Father & Son at Sand Valley Golf Resort in Nekoosa, Wis.
Johnson and Wilder backed up their first-round 65-under 67 with a second-round 9-under 64 to get to 14-under total and lead the championship division by five shots.
After playing the Lido in the first round, the golfers jumped over to Mammoth Dunes for the second round.
Alex and Joseph Mahaffey and Marshall and Spencer Cole are both T2 at 9-under, while Donald and Zachary Miller, Dale and Wesley Hillman and Wes and Paul Korth are T4 at 8-under. Ben and Joe Locker and Mark Macejko and Duff Meyer are T7 at 7-under.
Macejko and Meyer lead the Senior Division by nine shots at 7-under.
FIRST ROUND RECAP
Todd Johnson of Lebanon, Oh., and Brad Wilder of Lexington, Ky., lead after the first round of the AmateurGolf.com 2024 Two-Man Links and Father & Son at Sand Valley Golf Resort in Nekoosa, Wis.
Wilder won the first-ever Kelly Cup in 2012 and made the semifinals of the 2015 U.S. Mid-Amateur. He also made the match-play portion of the 2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur.
Johnson and Wilder shot 5-under 67 to lead the father-and-son team of Joseph and Alex Mahaffey, who shot a first-round 4-under 68. Paul Korth and Wes Korth, Steve Jones, and Will Jones, and Marshall Cole and Spencer Cole are all T3 at 3-under.
Dale Hillman and Wesley Hillman are 2-under and in solo sixth place, and Ben Locker and Joe Locker are 1-under and in solo seventh place.
Joseph and Alex Mahaffey lead by one shot at 4-under in the father-and-son division. Mark Macejko and Duff Meyer lead in the senior division after a 1-over 73 opening round.
The opening round was played on the Lido course reconstruction of the long-lost Long Island legend CB Macdonald.
There are 30 father-and-son teams participating this year, a record for AmateurGolf.com tournaments.
The Two Man Links and Father/Son Championship at Sand Valley Resort is a 54-hole best-ball championship at a Wisconsin gem that offers a similar vibe to the home of the original Two Man Links Championship (Bandon Dunes) with award-winning courses designed by Coore and Crenshaw as well as David McLay Kidd plus "The Lido" which opened for play in 2023.
