The win at Augusta National marks the 9th PGA Tour victory this season for Fujikura
Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, was honored to be the #1 driver and wood shaft in Augusta last week. The eventual Major winner trusted in VENTUS Black on his way to another green jacket victory.
At the Masters Tournament, Fujikura dominated the field as the #1 driver and wood shaft for the second year running. In total, 38.6% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft during the week, with another 36.9% using a Fujikura wood shaft.
These statistics included the eventual winner in Augusta, Georgia who grabbed his second Masters winusing all Fujikura driver and wood shafts. The tournament winner used a VENTUS Black 7-X in his driver, VENTUS Black 8-X in his fairway wood. Winning by four shots at 11-under, the world number one hit 79% of fairways throughout the week.
Multiple players also achieved success with Fujikura in the bag. This included the runner-up and two of the third-place finishers, with each of the players using a combination of VENTUS driver and wood shafts during the event.
Other statistics from the event also pointed towards a great performance for Fujikura shafts. Leading the field in Total Driving and Driving Distance, this player used the VENTUS Black 6-X during the week, averaging 318-yards off the tee. While in Driving Accuracy, the VENTUS Black 6-X was also used by another player, who hit 87.5% of fairways during the entire tournament.
The win in Augusta is Fujikura’s third green jacket victory in the last five years and the 9th win of the 2024 PGA Tour season for a player using a Fujikura driver and/or wood shaft.
