Brian Lovett and Buddy Allen won the 2024 Trans-Mississippi Junior-Senior Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore.

Lovett and Allen shot 7-under in the Scratch Division, shooting rounds of 67-69-71. Lovett and Allen were the only group that shot three rounds under par.

Zack Norrell and Ralph Ellis, Robert Price and Len Krahn, Kevin Bedsole, and David Klaudt, and Brent Peeke and Mark Gardner all finished T2 at 4-under.

Brian Lovett won the 2023 Trans-Mississippi Junior-Senior Championship with USA Walker Cup captain Mike McCoy and has now backed up his win with a new partner in Allen.

Lovett won the 2022 MET Amateur Senior Championship. In a small world, that win put him ahead of his partner Buddy Allen in the MET Senior Player of the Year race that year.

ABOUT THE Trans-Miss Junior-Senior

Introduced in 2021, this is one of four annual championships hosted each year by the historic Trans-Mississippi Golf Association. The Championship will be contested over 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play with two Divisions; Scratch and Handicap. The scratch division teams will have a combined handicap index at 8.0 and under. The handicap division will have a combined handicap index over 8.0. Each team is comprised of one plater age 25+ and another age 55+. Each player must be a member of a Trans-Mississippi member club, but not necessarily the same club. Players who do not belong to a Trans-Miss member club can speak to their club's manager or board of directors to encourage them to join (dues are very reasonable and support the Trans-Miss Turf Scholarship Fund). Alternatively, entrants may make a contribution in lieu of club membership to the Turf Scholarship Fund.
