Brad Phelps, a former Graduate Assistant Coach at Regis, overcame a two-shot deficit to win
Brad Phelps from McKinney, Tex., shot 2-over 146, following rounds of 75-71 to register a come-from-behind win at the Texas Medalist Series - North at the Grapevine Golf Course in Grapevine, Tex.
Ben Carter, from Piano, shot 3-over 147, following rounds of 74-73 to register a runner-up finish at the tournament.
Phelps, previously a Graduate Assistant coach at Regis University, entered the final round trailing Riley Goff by a two-shot deficit. He delivered a stellar score of 71, surpassing Goff's 76, ultimately securing the title. Goff, who posted rounds of 73-76, secured a solo-third place finish with a total score of 5-over par.
In the Senior Division, Glenn Grimes of Lewisville posted impressive rounds of 82-73, matching the performance of Donal O'Connor from McKinney, who carded scores of 79-76. Both players finished at 11-over par, claiming a shared position at the top.
Although O'Connor initially led by three strokes after the first round, a final round 76 combined with Grimes' resilient comeback of 73 led to a joint lead at the conclusion of the event.
Richard Stone from Bullard shot 17 over par to register a third-place finish at the tournament.
The tournament saw participation from 60 golfers, with 45 in the Open Division and 15 in the Senior Division.

36-hole stroke play competition as part of the TGA Medalist Series, conducted for low- handicap amateurs. To play in a TGA Medalist Series tournament, each player will be required to pay an annual registration fee.
