At the other end of the spectrum, the 3D Printed line of putters aims to pack as much of Cobra’s technology and innovation into these heads as possible and ensure the consumer can see said technology. 

The heads are constructed in the same MIM process as the Vintage line; however, key areas of the heads have been hollowed out and replaced with a 3D-printed nylon lattice structure, which allows weight to be relocated to boost stability on off-center strikes. 

A carbon crown alignment piece is used to varying degrees between the mallet and blade heads for even more weight savings. Lastly, the 3D Printed line features a firmer anodized aerospace-grade aluminum insert containing Descending Loft Technology. Eight total models are available in the 3DP line, featuring a variety of toe hang options and configurations for counterbalanced and armlock-specific setups.

Seeing both lines for the first time a few weeks ago in Carlsbad, I was struck by the beauty of all the models and the no-nonsense look at the address. The matte black finish is sleek and durable, and even the technology-packed 3DP lineup’s aesthetic is progressive but not distracting.

The total package is premium from top to bottom, with Superstroke grips and step-less KBS Tour shafts as the stock offerings.  Both lines will be available for presale on Cobra’s site starting January 23rd, with general release on February 23rd.
