2023 Walker Cupper and Stanford standout Barclay Brown highlights another talented field
As the calendar flips to the new year, the 2024 AmateurGolf.com Silicon Valley Amateur, presented by Callaway Golf, is back.
The Silicon Valley Amateur is the first AmateurGolf.com tournament to have a Major champion on its past winner's list. That would be Collin Morikawa, who won the 2016 title. Just over four years later, he won the PGA Championship just up the road at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. Multiple PGA Tour star and Morikawa's fellow 2023 USA Ryder Cup team member Max Homa also won the Silicon Valley Amateur in 2011.

For 2024, the tournament is moving to a new venue, the Stanford University Golf Course.
Stanford standout Barclay Brown, who competed in the 2023 Walker Cup for Great Britain and Ireland, is in the field. Brown is an accomplished collegiate golfer, finishing T4 at the 2023 NCAA Division I Championships and qualifying for the 2023 U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
Last time
The 2023 Silicon Valley Amateur was a battle of heavyweights, with Willy Walsh defeating Niall Shiels Donegan on No. 18 with a birdie.
"I didn't hit it as well as yesterday, and it was kind of a battle for 18 holes, but I stayed in it mentally," Walsh said after the win. "It helped Niall was playing so well because he was forcing me to make every single putt."
