Sarah Gallagher, 50, of Canton, Ga.

The 2018 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur was her first USGA championship in 25 years
Made match play at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur at Forest Highlands in Flagstaff, Ariz., and advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur at Berkeley Hall Club in Bluffton, S.C.
Competed in the 2023 U.S. Senior Women’s Open, turning 50 a week before the event and finishing T38
Won the inaugural Georgia Women’s Mid-Amateur in 2023 (72-73) at the Country Club of Columbus
Is a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Elkins Pointe Middle School
Has two teenage kids, a son (who plays golf) and a daughter

Captained the USA Curtis Cup Teams to victory in 2021 in Wales and in 2022 at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa.

Member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame and Duke Athletics Hall of Fame
Played for the Duke Blue Devils from 1985-88, earning All-ACC honors as a freshman and All-American distinctions in her junior and senior years
