A USGA championship is being conducted on a military base (Eisenhower G.C. at Air Force Academy) for the first time in history
The site was originally scheduled to host in 2020, but COVID-19 canceled the championship.
Yana Wilson, 15, of Henderson, Nev., defeated 14-year-old Gianna Clemente, of Estero, Fla., 3 and 2, in the 36-hole championship match at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky. Battling extreme heat and humidity all week, Wilson, a quarterfinalist in 2021, to add her name to the legendary list of champions on the Glenna Collett Vare Trophy. To read more, click here.
