Daniel Wax and Brady Baguio are tied at 4-under par 68 with one round to play
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (July 14, 2008) -- Daniel Wax of Pacific Palisades started his title defense with a solid 4-under 68 today at El Camino Country Club. He's tied at the top of the leaderboard with Brady Baguio of Bakersfield. Michael Alejandro of the Philippine National Golf Team is two strokes back at 2-under 70.
Matt Romig of Marina del Rey leads the Net Division by 1, while
Randal Phillips will have a nice ride around the course before he claims the Senior crystal prize. (the only other player in that division withdrew, but hey, Randal will get some proshop credit too!)
First round results from the San Diego County Amateur, held at the 6824 yard, par 72 El Camino Country Club follow. Tomorrow's final round will be played at The Golf Club of California in Fallbrook.
