Matt Nunez is the tournament director for the all the North & South amateur events at Pinehurst. That includes the men’s, women’s, junior, and senior tournaments. He also is in charge of the Pinehurst Country Club events, the Donald Ross Junior, and Wake Forest invite.
Matt talks with us about his role as tournament director, what makes the North & South amateur so special, how players can get into the event, how he made his way to Pinehurst, and the local players who are competing this week and have had success in the past, including Jackson Bode who won the junior North & South last year and Jackson Van Paris who was runner-up in the men’s North & South.
