The Director of Golf at New York's GlenArbor GC, who has played in 8 PGA Championships, will represent V1 on the Champions Tour

Novi, MI – V1 Sports (V1), developers of the leading video and ground pressure analysis technology for coaches/instructors and athletes, has announced the signing of PGA club Professional Rob Labritz as a Brand Ambassador. Labritz, the Director of Golf at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, New York, who has played in 8 PGA Championships and finished as the low PGA Member in the field twice, recently earned his Tour Card by winning medalist honors at Q-School, and will fulfill a dream by playing on the PGA Tour Champions in 2022.

“We are elated to announce the signing of Rob Labritz, and look forward to supporting him on the PGA TOUR Champions,” said Bryan Finnerty, CEO, V1 Sports. “Rob has been a long time user and advocate of V1’s instruction technology suite, and will now represent our brand while playing alongside the game’s best professionals on the PGA Tour Champions.”

As part of his role as a V1 Sports Brand Ambassador, Rob will have a V1 logo on his clothing and be equipped with a V1 pressure mat on TOUR, utilizing the powerful and portable analysis system during practice sessions. Measuring ground force is one of the hottest trends in golf instruction and game improvement today, and V1 technology is at the forefront of measuring movements throughout the golf swing.

Many tour players and golf instructors like Labritz have adopted the V1 Pressure Mat, a portable ground force interaction tool that integrates with V1 Pro Mobile software while measuring pressure, velocity, and dynamic force throughout the golf swing. Syncing video and ground pressure data creates an unbeatable tool to more accurately evaluate movement and provide immediate feedback to athletes to help them improve.

Competing on TOUR each week is the primary job of professional golfers, but Labritz is PGA club professional and his day to day responsibilities at GlenArbor Golf Club are vastly different from a PGA TOUR player. His responsibilities consist of managing golf operations, overseeing member programs and executing player development programs, among other professional duties.

Adds Finnerty, “Rob is an amazing success story. He is an accomplished golf instructor who finds the time to keep his game sharp enough to compete at an elite level. Qualifying for 8 PGA Championships and now the PGA TOUR Champions is truly an accomplishment for a PGA Club professional and we are very proud to expand our partnership with Rob.”

A highly decorated player, Labritz has earned numerous awards and accolades, including being named the Westchester Golf Association Player of the Year in 2002, ‘03, ‘08, ‘13, ‘15, and ‘16. He also won the New York State Open in 2008, ‘13, ‘16 as well as the 2016 and 2021 Westchester Open - the only player to ever do so twice at their home facility. He is a three-time Metropolitan PGA Section Professional Champion and was named the Metropolitan PGA Section Player of the Year in 2008, ’13, ‘16.

“I’m thrilled to expand my partnership with V1 Sports and I appreciate their confidence in choosing me to represent their brand on tour,” said Labritz. “I’ve implemented V1 video analysis software in my golf instruction, for both my students as well as my own game, for many years and I’m excited to incorporate their innovative pressure mat technology to further improve my game.”

Labritz is an avid user of V1 Pro Studio and Mobile golf instruction software, which continues to serve over 10,000 coaches and instructors who in turn have helped over 4 million golfers, delivering lessons both in-person and online to help them improve. Online teaching has become increasingly popular as indicated by over 500,000 V1 lessons delivered in 2021.

V1 software, including both pro and athlete apps, work together and independently providing video analysis, swing/lesson exchange and game improvement content. V1 Pro software captures high-definition, high-frame-rate swing videos with integrated ground pressure data that can be analyzed with graphic overlays, side-by-side comparisons with tour model swings from V1’s extensive library. Online Lessons are delivered with voice over coaching and tip/drill content to students via the V1 Golf app, email, and text, which students can review on their own at home and on the range.
