The easy D-shaped front zipper panel makes loading and unloading your clubs very easy, and with a weight of less than 10 pounds, you won’t be forced to lug around so much unnecessary extra weight when you are loading your clubs or transporting them to your next destination.

One of the nice design features of the Alpha Mid is the reinforced external compression straps with integrated handles, which make for very easy handling. In addition to the top handle, perfect for pulling your travel bag around on wheels that could be best described as “buttery smooth,” there are two additional handles located around the bag’s midsection. The compression straps will keep your equipment inside snug and safe, and can be tightened and secured to the player’s preference. The convenient handle placement makes loading and unloading a breeze. Internally there are two more compression straps, designed to keep your clubs as safe as possible while in motion.

The Alpha Mid is constructed with the avid golfer in mind, and includes ample storage for any items needed during travel. On the front side of the exterior of the bag, there is a zippered compartment towards the top, perfect for any smaller accessories like golf gloves, valuable pouches, or range finders. There is also a larger zippered compartment towards the bag’s mid-section with an interior Velcro strap, a perfect fit for your golf shoes. Inside the bag, there is a mesh pocket, ideal for storing a rain suit or quarter-zip pullover. On the bag’s underside, there is a skid plate and rails for abrasion protection, and a clear contact card holder for quick identification.

The Alpha Mid, while featuring the ballistic fabric of the Alpha Max, does not include the SLED (Structural Load Equalizing Deck), Internal Reinforced foam wrap, or the ability to accommodate a Staff Bag like the Alpha Max. The Alpha Mid features 3 organization spaces, compared to the Alpha’s 2, and the Alpha Max’s 4.

In my opinion, the Alpha Mid is just what the walking competitive amateur -- who usually travels with a lightweight stand bag -- needs.
