For the first time, the Walker Cup will be held in the spring on U.S. soil at Florida's esteemed Seminole Golf Club
The Walker Cup is always a better fan experience than the professional version -- The Ryder Cup. This year, as Covid-19 continues to effect live sports, the experience will be even more intimate for a limited number of fans who grab tickets on April 1.
The USGA announced this week that a limited number of Trophy Club ticket packages for the 48th Walker Cup Match at Seminole Golf Club, in Juno Beach, Fla., will be made available for sale at Walkercup.org beginning on Thursday, April 1 at 10 a.m. EDT. Attendance for the Match will be restricted due to health and safety guidelines.
Due to Covid-19 virus restrictions, the USGA will only be selling the three-day Trophy Club package. The package includes One (1) ticket for the practice round on Friday, May 7, and each competition day, May 8 – 9.
The $500 ticket package will include complimentary parking as well as all food and beverage located on the grounds of Seminole Golf Club. The Flag-Raising Ceremony will be closed to ticket holders.
This Walker Cup will mark the first time that the biennial team competition between 10 amateur players representing the United States and 10 amateur players representing Great Britain and Ireland, selected by The R&A, will be held in the spring on U.S. soil.
