Links to the leading green reading & yardage guides on the PGA Tour and collegiate circuits will be included in the AG database

At AmateurGolf.com, we haven't had many business meetings since March, with the exception of an occasional drop up or pick up of a club, putter, apparel with one of our sponsors or vendors. Video calls have ruled the day, and we are very thankful for high speed internet connections and a service (Zoom) that is affordable enough for individuals or small businesses to take advantage of. But it's not every day that you sign an industry leader to a 5-year agreement. The new partner is StrackaLine. The Encinitas, California company serves all the professional tours, over 300 Division I college teams, many Junior programs and state golf associations. A verbal agreement was made to have StrackaLine come on board as the official green reading and yardage guide in early January. But a signing ceremony and elbow bump was in order. So StrackalLne founder Jim Stracka, National Sales Manager Justin Porter, and AmateurGolf.com CEO Pete Wlodkowski masked up, kept our distance, and even used our own "signing pens." StrackaLine -- and it's founder Jim Stracka -- are at the forefront of mapping greens. In their office I encountered a robotic putting green, and racks of the PGA Tour and collegiate hosting courses they have mapped in detail. My eyes were opened to just how ubiquitous these guides have become about players seeking a competitive edge. "The best players in the world depend on StrackaLine for their green reading technology," said Stracka, "Now all amateur golfers can have the same information the pros use." That technology will be as easy to order as logging into to the AmateurGolf.com website. Each tournament will have a link to purchase the StrackaLine guides available for its host course (s). Both companies will back up the technology offered with training on how to use it to gain a competitive advantage. Getting prepared to compete your best just got a little easier. And here's some news you might want to act on right now. As a member of AmateurGolf.com, you get a 25% discount on any book or technology you buy from StrackaLine. Use this link and your discount will be applied at checkout.
