Adam Armagost came out on top at the 59th Senior Amateur Championship on Sunday at Eagle Creek Golf & Country Club. He fired a 7-under 209 to capture the three-shot victory and his first FSGA victory.

The Jupiter native began the final round in a tie for first place with Pete Williams at 7-under 137. Armagost put together two under-par rounds (67-70) to take a share of the 36-hole lead.

Armagost got off a tough start in the final round with a double bogey on the first hole. He rebounded quickly and played the rest of the front side bogey free, adding back-to-back birdies to close out the front nine. Armagost played the back nine bogey free to post a final-round 72 and secure the victory.

This is the first FSGA victory for Armagost.

Paul Royak and Pete Williams both took home a share of second place at 4-under 212. Williams, the reigning FSGA Senior Amateur Player of the Year, held a share of the lead heading into the final round. The Juno Beach native carded a final-round 75 to fall back into second place. Royak put together a final-round 70, with two birdies and an eagle, to finish runner-up.

Jimmy Jones and Andrew Fogarty finished tied for fourth at 3-under 213. Fogarty and Doug LaCrosse posted the low rounds of the day, 3-under 69.
