U.S. Women's Amateur tee times, TV times and how to watch

USGA championship golf is back with the U.S. Women's Amateur teeing off at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.

In a year where the normal slate of 14 USGA championships has been whittled down to four because the COVID-19 pandemic, the women's championship is also a pared-down version of its normal self.

All qualifying was cancelled, and the USGA built the field based solely on exemption categories. Additionally, the number of competitors has been reduced from 156 to 132.

With the pandemic reducing global travel, the number of international players is slightly lower than usual. Still, the most important tournament in women's amateur golf has a deep and impressive field as can be seen below.

ABOUT THE U.S. Women's Amateur

The U.S. Women's Amateur, the third oldest of the USGA championships, was first played in 1895 at Meadowbrook Club in Hempstead, N.Y. The event is open to any female amateur who has a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 2.4. The Women's Amateur is one of 15 national championships conducted annually by the USGA.
