Seven of Odyssey’s most popular designs are out, in a rich black PVD finish with a tempo enhancing Stroke Lab shaft
Innovations in putter design tend to focus solely on the putter head. Shaping, materials,
weighting, and inserts can and do help promote a better putting stroke, but in a game of inches,
a good putting stroke also needs to be repeatable under pressure. Talk to any fitter and they will

Successful putting is all about consistency and the team at Odyssey set out to create an overall putting setup that can actually help to improve the tempo and consistency in your stroke. Last year, Odyssey introduced Stroke Lab, an innovative multi-material putter shaft that became the #1 putter on every tour. The innovative multi-material putter shaft shed 40 grams of weight, which is placed to the head and grip end of the putter. The result is a rebalanced putter for improved tempo and consistency in the stroke. Tour player testing showed a 20% more consistent length of backswing and a 14% more consistent velocity at impact. Overall, testing with the Stroke Lab shaft showed a 13% increase in overall stroke consistency. In a game of inches, these are some very impressive numbers.

Also in the new Stroke Lab Black putters is a new Microhinge Star insert. Taking some tour feedback about last year’s models, Odyssey added a firmer feel at impact while maintaining the benefits of the Microhinge insert. Fans of the White Hot Inserts from a few years will be familiar with the feel off the face.
Good news for those players who love the new super-high MOI Odyssey putter models. Odyssey is including the Ten and Bird of Prey in their Stroke Lab Black release. For long-time Odyssey fans, the One, Double Wide, Rossie, and Seven will also be available in Stroke Lab Black.
