PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Thanks to a pair of match-play wins on Monday, the No. 5 Duke men's golf team will battle for the championship at the Cypress Point Challenge on Tuesday morning against No. 6 Georgia Tech at the Cypress Point Golf Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.

The Blue Devils reached the title match where they'll face the Yellow Jackets, after beating Alabama and Stanford in best-of-three matches on Monday at Cypress Point. The Duke pairings of Quinn Riley/Qi wen Wong and Chandler Eaton/Evan Katz each were unbeaten on Monday in leading Duke to the title match.

Duke was the No. 1-seed for the eight-team bracket and dispatched No. 8-seeded Alabama in the opening round of fourball, 3-0. Wong and Riley won their match over the Tide's Frankie Capan and Thomas Ponder, 3&2, while Katz and Eaton also posted a 3&2 victory over Wilson Furr and Simms Abney.

Completing the shutout for Duke, Adrien Pendaries and Steven DiLisio teamed for a 2&1 win over Davis Shore and Prescott Butler.

After No. 4-seed Stanford took out No. 5-seed USC in a Pac-12 showdown in the morning fourball, 2-1, the Blue Devils bested the Cardinal in the afternoon foursome matches, 2-1.

Riley and Wong got things rolling for the Blue Devils, putting the first point on the board in the afternoon by handling Stanford's Henry Shimp and Daulet Tulebayev, 3&2. The clinching point came from Katz and Eaton, who closed out David Snyder and Barclay Brown with a 4&3 win to advance the Blue Devils. The final match to finish went the distance, with Stanford's Ethan Ng and Nate Menon edging Pendaries and DiLisio, 1UP.
