Bandon Dunes fans, take note. The Oregon resort has announced an opening date for its newest course, Bally Bandon Sheep Ranch. The new Coore & Crenshaw-designed track, located on the north end of the resort, will open to the public on June 1, 2020.

The resort announced in April that it would officially develop the property on Five Mile Point. The new course will play to a par of 71 and will stretch to 6,785 yards.

Sheep Ranch will include one mile of ocean frontage, with nine greens on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. The property has been owned by Phil Friedmann and Bandon Dunes owner Mike Keiser, and while destined to be developed as a course, the Bally Bandon Sheep Ranch has been shrouded in mystery.

Until now.

In the lead-up to the opening of the new course, Bandon Dunes will host the U.S. Amateur in August.

Don’t forget the AmateurGolf.com Two-Man Links in April, a 72-hole event that rotates around all four of Bandon’s current four courses. Click here for more information.
