Spencer Levin To Turn Pro, Signs with MacGregor

Albany, Ga. - Spencer Levin, the nation's second-ranked golfer and top amateur finisher in the 2004 U.S. Open, will join the professional ranks and become a member of the MacGregor Golf Tour Staff beginning with the 2005 U.S. Open, June 13-19 at Pinehurst Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C., Levin and MacGregor announced today. Levin, from Elk Grove, Calif., completed one of the best summers in the history of amateur golf in 2004. He finished tied for 13th at the U.S. Open - the best finish by an amateur in 33 years. Levin also won the California State Amateur, Porter Cup and Scratch Players Championship, the latter by a staggering 10 shots.
