Among the 156 players in the U.S. Women's Open, there are 26 amateurs. Here's how you can watch them.
Among the 156 women in the field for this week’s U.S. Women’s Open at the Country Club of Charleston (S.C.), 26 are amateurs. Tee times and pairings have been announced for the tournament, to begin Thursday May 30, and below, we have highlighted pairings that contain the amateurs.
There is perhaps no better one of these, of course, than the one that features Jennifer Kupcho, Maria Fassi and Sierra Brooks. Fassi and Kupcho both ended their college careers at the NCAA Women’s Championship last week. Fassi won the individual title and Kupcho played for the team title along with her Wake Forest team. They lost to Duke in the championship match. Brooks came up four shots short in her quest for the individual title.
Kupcho and Fassi, of course, already have their LPGA cards locked up from last fall's Q-Series and will soon turn professional.
Tee times are listed with first-round time first, followed by second-round time. All times are ET.
