Matt Cordell and Bryant Lach are going for a wire-to-wire victory at the long-running four-ball event at Champions Golf Club
The local team’s round of 66 included six birdies and one bogey and put the leaders at 14 under par for 54 holes. Cordell and Lach are looking for their second Champions Cup title after winning their first in 2017.
The average team score for Day 3 was 72.10, which is the highest scoring average over the first three rounds on the challenging par-71 Cypress Creek course.
The final round will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
