When the Players Championship is in your hometown, sometimes it means you get to meet the professionals
It's Players Championship week, which might be the most celebrated annual golf event in the greater Jacksonville, Fla., area. To kick off tournament week, European Ryder Cuppers Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood put on a Monday clinic for area junior golfers.
As part of the clinic, 100 junior participants from the First Tee of North Florida and 30 from the PGA Junior League were able to listen to a Q&A session led by emcee Notah Begay III. The clinic included a demonstration at the 17th Hole Challenge set up at TPC Sawgrass.
Each player gives tips on how to move from junior golf to the PGA Tour and both posed for pictures with the young participants.
