Much like the weather, Fenimore and Schultz took a little while to get warmed up at Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas, but once they reached the par-4 seventh, they never looked back. A birdie there and three on the back side helped them complete the wire-to-wire victory.

High School students Matthew Griggs of Keller and Jase Summy of Prosper rounded out the top four by matching their first-round 68 for a 4-under total.
