Tight races in all three flights should make for interesting second day

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July 30, 2007)-- There were only three golfers under par at the amateurgolf.com San Francisco County Amateur, held at the Presidio Golf Course, but the leaderboards were tight enough at the top to guarantee an interesting finale on Tuesday. Robert Douglas led the pack in the championship flight with a 2-under-par 70. He was trailed by Eddie Newland and Matthew Garcia who carded 71's. In all, there were 11 players within five strokes of the leader going into the final round. In the net division, James Grensted and Alexander Mason were tied at the top with 77's while Mark Miller and Shelton Washburn led the seniors with 75's.
