LAS VEGAS (July 18, 2018) – The 10th playing of the World Stars of Junior Golf event ended with San Diego native Matthew Broder on top in the boys division and Bangkok’s Jenny Ham with the trophy in the girls division. Each field was highlighted by players from all over the world who converged at courses around Las Vegas to compete.

Ham took a commanding 10-shot victory at Angel Park Golf Club. She posted three rounds in the 60s to reach 13-under 200 for 54 holes. Ham made bogey on No. 12 in the opening round, and didn’t make another throughout the rest of the tournament.

McKenzi Hall, a Las Vegas local, was second at 3-under 210. Shreya Pal and Nicole Felce tied for third at 4 over.

Broder, meanwhile, finished 54 holes at Paiute Golf Club at 4-over 222, good for a one-shot victory. Broder struggled on the back nine in the final round, carding five bogeys. His final-round 76 was his highest of the week. The 13-year-old had eight birdies in three rounds, and nothing higher than a bogey.

Jack Tanner of South Australia was runner-up at 7 over, followed by Jin Song, who hails from Irvine, Calif.
