Julian Perico takes AJGA Simplify Boys Championship

Julian Perico from Peru has committed to Arkansas
THE WOODLANDS, Texas (February 19, 2018) - Julian Perico of (Peru) Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida, fired a 3-under-par 69 for a tournament-total 11-under-par 205. Perico carded four birdies on the day and a total of 14 birdies and one eagle for the tournament. This is the University of Arkansas commit’s first AJGA Invitational win and his second AJGA win. Perico won the 2017 the Memorial Junior and is currently No. 23 in the AJGA Rolex Rankings.
“I thought this was my week,” said Perico. “I just tried to play the best I could and it worked out really well. I feel like a won more than a junior tournament today.”
Logan McAllister of Oklahoma City, finished two shots behind Perico in solo second with a tournament total of 9-under-par 207. McAllister birdied two of his last three holes.
Kyle Cox of Carrollton, Texas, finished in third place with a 5-under-par 211. Pierceson Coody of Plano, Texas, Frankie Capan of North Oaks, Minnesota, and Shuai Ming (Ben) Wong of (Hong Kong) The Woodlands, Texas, finished T-4 at 4-under-par 212.
About the AJGA Boys Championship

One of the AJGA series of tournaments that require an invitation to participate. Format is 54 holes of stroke play. For boys ages 12-18. Field size is 78. Must be AJGA member.
