PERTH, Australia (Feb. 12, 2018) -- I'm always thrilled to see our members (and especially those that have played in our AGC Tour events) do well on the world stage.

So it was really fun to see Sean Crocker, who won the 2015 AGC San Diego Amateur at Aviara, face off against No. 53 Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand in the quarterfinals of the unique-format World Super 6 in Australia.

Watching Crocker, at 1-down on the match, hit 3-wood stiff on a par-4 when he had to was telling for the future. Although he overshot the green and failed to get up-and-down on the last hole (losing 1-down) Crocker vaulted up over 100 points in the world rankings and is sure to get more chances to gain status, and valuable experience along the way.

The prize money he earned doesn't hurt either.

We discussed his play, along with the growing concept of providing sponsor's exemptions on the pro tours, in our first-ever podcast on Sunday. Give it a listen, tell us what you think, and by all means send in your ideas for future episodes.
