Girls' Division winner Katie Yoo picked up her a title in a second straight week

KISSIMMEE, FL (January 5, 2018) - Florida commit Tyler Wilkes closed with a 1-under 71 to finish even-par and as the winner of the Orlando International Amateur of Juniors. Wilkes started his week at the Magnolia Course of the Walt Disney World Golf Complex with a disappointing 3-over 75 in the first round before rebounding on Thursday in the second round with a 2-under 70. In Friday's final round Wilkes took command of the tournament with a four birdie final round, including a tournament capping birdie on the closing hole. Dongjin Park, Anthony Muttillo and Tennoshin Ogawa (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) all shared second place at 7-over while Austin Cherichella took fifth at 8-over. GIRLS' DIVISION Less than a week after winning the Women's Orlando International Amateur Championship Katie Yoo was at it again winning the Girls' Division of the Orlando International Amateur of Juniors. After finishing 3-under in her first go around, Yoo was three-strokes better this week posting a 6-under tally as she sprinted away from the field and won by 19-strokes. Yoo signed for three consecutive under-par rounds, 70-71 and then saved her best for last, a 3-under 69 that included five birdies. Emily Zhu (+13) was second, Hulda Clara Gestsdottir (+21) was third, Mary Kate Smith (+24) took fourth and in fifth it was Hanana Kawada (+28). Of Note: Bodvar Bragi Palsson won the Boys' 15 & Under Division by eight-strokes.
