The Super Senior winner was Allan Small who finished tied for third overall
SAVANNAH, GA (November 30, 2017) - In wire-to-wire fashion Rusty Strawn took the third playing of the Senior Oglethorpe Invitational at Wilmington Island Club.
Strawn opened with a first round 69 to take a four-stroke lead before closing with a second consecutive 69 to post 138 and finish as a five shot winner.
The winner of the 1993 Georgia Mid-Amateur, Strawn has shown well in AGC ranking events the last few years three-times finishing inside the top-10. Strawn, from McDonough, GA, best finish came at the 2015 Timuquana Cup where he tied for third.
John Foster (73-70--143) took second, Super Senior winner Allan Small (74-71--145) and Alan Bennett (74-71--145) shared third while Toshi Hirata (74-72--146) and Doug Stiles (73-73--146) tied for fifth.

Will not be held in 2018. Inaugural event in 2015. 36-hole championship at Wilmington Island Club, site of the annual Oglethorpe Invitational. For seniors over the age of 50.
