Reynolds, Davis Take the Chanticleer National Four-Ball
Mitchell Davis (L) and Harry Reynolds (R), the
2017 Chanticleer National Four-Ball champions
GREENVILLE, SC (November 12, 2017) - Harry Reynolds and Mitchell Davis posted a five-under 67 for an 11-under 133 total and a two-shot win at the Chanticleer National Four-Ball Invitational at Greenville Country Club.
Reynolds (Greenville, SC) and Davis (Valparaiso, IN) just signed their National Letters of Intent to attend the University of Indiana and play golf for the Hoosiers.
Reynolds and Davis appeared to be cruising to the win but had to hold off a furious charge from defending champions Garland Ferrell and Matt Hayes. Ferrell and Hayes shot a 70 in the first round, which put them four shots behind, and through eight holes on Sunday found themselves eight shots back.
But they went on a tear from there, going seven under on the last ten holes to shoot 65 to finish solo second, two shots short.
Four teams--Kyle Milner & Josh Branyon, Jeremy Grab & Jake Mcglone, Brett Harris & Tate Hoisington, and Kevin Roberts & Mike Hartin--finished tied for third at four-under 140.
