As part of their multi-year contract with the USGA, Fox covers amateur golf too, and that really is for the good of the game

SAN DIEGO, California (Aug. 7, 2017) -- If you can get to San Diego Country Club this week, do it. The gorgeous and historic layout may be the perfect setting for competitive women's golf. And it's a wonderful walk for spectators.

If you can't make it, don't worry, AmateurGolf.com has you covered with daily reports and highlights, (especially if you can't sit around the office and watch TV all day) while Fox Sports can give you a view of the country club bearing the name of "America's Finest City."

Just miles from the Mexican border, San Diego Country Club has the distinction of being the home course of Billy Casper and LPGA legend Mickey Wright, while serving the best burrito at a country club halfway house anywhere but Mexico.

Schedule of Play

Aug. 7 (Monday): First round, stroke play
Aug. 8 (Tuesday): Second round, stroke play
Aug. 9 (Wednesday): First round, match play
Aug. 10 (Thursday): Second and third rounds, match play
Aug. 11 (Friday): Quarterfinal round, match play
Aug. 12 (Saturday): Semifinal round, match play
Aug. 13 (Sunday): 36-hole championship final, match play

Television Coverage

The 2017 U.S. Women’s Amateur will receive at least 15 hours of live network coverage over five days on FS1, beginning with Wednesday’s Round-of-64 matches. All times Pacific Daylight Time.

Wednesday, August 9: 3-6 p.m., Round-of-64 matches
Thursday, Aug. 10: 3-6 p.m., Round-of-16 matches
Friday, Aug. 11: 3-6 p.m., Quarterfinal matches
Saturday, Aug. 12: 4-7 p.m., Semifinal matches
Sunday, Aug. 13: 1-4 p.m., Championship match
