One-shot win thwarts two-time defending champions' quest for a three-peat

In a weather-shortened final round, nine holes were played and Galvani/Hynes shot a one-under 34 to edge out the team of Derek Desantis and Kevin Gately of The Harmon Club by a single shot. The two teams entered the final round tied for the lead at four-under 136.
Colin Brennan (Woodland GC) and Alex Jeffers (Indian Ridge CC) finished solo third, three shots back.
The home-club team of Cato Anderson and Mike Dunham, winners in each of the last two years, were in contention after round one but fell back to a tie for ninth at two over par.
In the Senior Division, played over 36 holes, John Hadges (Willowbend) and Ray Richard (Thorny Lea) shot 70-68 to win by a shot over the Worcester CC team of Rich Armstrong and Jim Mahoney.
They were the only teams to break par for the tournament, as the next closest team was another four shots back.
