Meyers-Wilson win Palm Beach Senior Better Ball

HOBE SOUND, FL (May 28, 2017) - Jared Meyers and Scott Wilson closed with a 7-under 65 to post 11-under and then won the Palm Beach Senior Beach Better-Ball in a playoff. The winning duo began the final day at Hobe Sound Golf Club one shot off the pace before outlasting John Powers and Danny Germaine in extra holes.
Following a first round 9-under 63 in Saturday's first round, Meyers and Wilson played a bogey-free final round with three birdies on the front and four more on the way home. There best run of golf came from Nos. 7-13 when they birdied five-times in seven holes.
In the playoff the winning duo outlasted Powers and Germaine who fired a stellar 11-under 61 on Sunday. Powers and Germaine opened with a par before going onto birdie 11-times and eagle once on the par-5 12th with a lone bogey coming on the 11th.
DJ Morris and Robert Floyd; Scott Turner and Greg Forest shared third at 15-under while Carson Cavner and Daniel McCoy; Brett Whitley and Brett Buller shared fifth at 11-under.
