LAWRENCE, KS (May 16, 2017) - The East team won the 6th edition of the Kanza Players Cup at Lawrence Country Club by a 10 to 6 margin over the West squad. The East took 4.5 points in the day two singles matches to the West side's 3.5 points to help secure the victory.

In the day one matches, the East squad led 2.5 to 1.5 after the morning four-ball matches and took 3 of the 4 points in the afternoon foursomes matches to lead 5.5-2.5 heading into the final round.

The East team was comprised of Jeff Bell, Tyler Cummins, William Gantz, Bradley Lane, Chris McGown, Conrad Roberts, Matthew Quandt and Park Ulrich.

ABOUT THE Kanza Players Cup

Team competition for Kansas mid-amateur age (25-49) golfers. Top 8 available golfers from the East and West squads (16 players total) based on the previous year's KGA Mid- Amateur Player of the Year points list. Ryder Cup style format (Four-Ball, Foursome, Singles matches).
