SOS John Kline Super Senior: Armstrong, McDade Co-Lead

PEACHTREE CITY, GA (May 2, 2017) - John Armstrong and Pete McDade share the 36-hole lead at the Society of Seniors John Kline Super Seniors hosted by Planterra Ridge Golf Club.

McDade (Lakeland, FL) carried a one-shot lead into the second round after an opening 69, with Armstrong (Frostburg, MD) one behind. But Armstrong moved into a tie after a second-round 73 leaving both players at 143.

The final round will be more than a two-man race, however, as ten players sit within four shots of the lead. Evan Long (Charlotte, NC) is one shot back at 144, with Bev Hargraves (Little Rock, AR) and Bill Leonard (Marietta, GA) two back.

Peter Van Ingen (New York, NY) shot the low round of the day, a 68 that put him in contention at four shots back.

In the Grand Master Division, Nick Kirkland (Snellville, GA) shot a second-round 71 for a 145 total and a one shot lead over three players: Dick Van Leuvan (Atlanta, GA), George Washburn (Frederick, MD) and Jim Wetzel (Edmond, OK). Washburn had the low Grand Master round of the day, a 69.
