HOWEY IN THE HILLS, FL (April 5, 2017) -- With two rounds in the books Michael Bell is 4-over and the leader of Florida Super Senior hosted by Mission Inn Resort & Club. Bell, ahead in the 65-69 Division, has combined rounds of 72-76 and he will carry a one-stroke lead into Thursday's final round. Berger Warner is in second place at 5-over, Robert Lundquist is in third at 7-over while William Everett, Jim Stone, defending champion Robert Hess and Donald Staton are tied for fourth at 10-over. In the 70-75 Division Thomas Austin is 1-over and the leader by two and in 75+ Division Jim Pfrogner is ahead by a pair of shots at 3-over. MONDAY RECAP With first round play of the Florida Super Senior hosted by Mission Inn Resort & Club suspended Berger Warner and Michael Bell are sharing the lead at even-par. The lead duo is two shots clear of defending champion Robert Hess (+2) at Mission Inn Resort & Club two shots clear of defending champion Robert Hess (+2). Warner birdied four-times and bogeyed four-times during his first round. After a 13th hole birdie Warner was 2-under but he dropped shots on two of the final three holes. For Bell it was a three bogey, one bogey and one double-bogey round. Bell birdied his last hole to earn his share of the lead. Jim Stone (+3) is in third while Dan Smith (+4) and Donald Staton (+4) are tied for fourth.
About the Florida Super Senior

The Super-Senior Championship offers a competitive Championship environment for golfers in a stroke play scratch format with three different age divisions from three different sets of tees. Format will be 54 holes for players aged 65 and over.
