Todd-Hargett Repeat at S. Carolina Sr. Four-Ball
Eddie Hargett (L) and Walter Todd (R)
PAWLEYS, ISLAND (March 21, 2017) -- Walter Todd and Eddie Hargett needed a birdie on the first hole of a sudden death playoff over Todd Hendley and Bobby Hines to secure their second South Carolina Senior Four-Ball Championship in a row.
Held at The Reserve Club in Pawleys Island, Todd & Hargett started the day with a two shot lead but watched that number slowly dwindle as Hendley and Hines put together the round of the tournament just in front of their group. Todd Hendley capped off the comeback round of eight under par 64 with birdies on holes 17 and 18 to get them in a tie for the lead. After a Hargett birdie putt on the 18th hole just slipped by the cup, the two teams were tied at 132, five shots clear of the nearest competitors.
This Championship marks the fourth SCGA Senior Partners event that Todd and Hargett have combined to win. The winning duo won the 2015 and 2016 Senior Better Ball along with the 2016 and 2017 Senior Four Ball.
John Long and Tim Teaster teamed up to shoot a two under par score of 142 to win the First Flight. In the Second Flight, Tom Reeves and Bob Cook shot a final round 69 for a four shot victory over two other teams.

ABOUT THE South Carolina Senior Four-Ball
The SCGA Senior Four Ball Championship began in
1994 as an opportunity for individuals over the age
of 55 to have a true partners Championship.
With the emphasis on lower handicapped seniors,
SCGA was allowed more freedom to move the Senior
Four Ball across the State and the ability set up
challenging venues for the players looking for
stronger competition. Not to cut all players out of
opportunity to win something, the SCGA flights the
field after the first round to give everyone a sporting
