36-hole leading Louisville continues to be the only team under-par at the Hurricane Invitational. Three share the medalist lead at 3-under
CORAL GABLES, FL (February 28, 2017) -- Thanks to an even-par day the Louisville Cardinals held steady at 2-under and kept their spot atop of the Hurricane Invitational leaderboard. However, for the second consecutive day the lead at Biltmore Golf Course is a small one as Northwestern at 1-over will begin the final round just three off the pace.
Louisville's Olivia Cason, 3-under, continues to share the medalist lead and she is still joined by Barry's Tilda Larsson and now teammate Lauren Hartlage.
On Tuesday Cason shot an even-par 72 that included three birdies and three bogeys. Hartlage grabbed her part of the lead with a late day surge that saw her card consecutive birdies on Nos. 15 and 16. So far this week Hartlage has signed for rounds of 71-70.
Tilda Larsson maintained her spot atop the individual leaderboard with an even-par Tuesday round. Larrson bogeyed the 13th and 17th holes to drop to 1-over for the day before rebounding with a final hole birdie.
Stephanie Lau (Northwestern) and Emily White (Michigan) will begin the final round tied for fourth and just one shot back at 2-under while three others are 1-under and tied for sixth.
Michigan will start Wednesday in third place at 6-over, Division II Barry is in fourth place at 12-over while Miami sits in fifth place at 15-over.

On Monday the Louisville pace was set individual co-leader Olivia Cason. The 3-under Cason turned in a flawless round of golf that included birdies on the 7th, 10th and 18th holes.
Carson is presently tied for the lead with Tilda Larsson (Barry) and Hannah Kim (Northwestern). The group leads a group of three at 2-under in a tie for fourth and an additional five players all of whom at 1-under are tied for seventh.
Louisville, looking for their first win of the season also saw Lauren Hartlage (T7; -1) and Molly Skapik (T12; E) turn in strong first rounds.
