After a first round 1 over 73 at 13th Beach Golf Links Lee turned in three consecutive rounds of under-par golf to complete his week 12 under
BARWON HEADS, Australia (February 12, 2017) -- Defending U.S. Junior Amateur champion Min Woo Lee finished tied for sixth and as the low amateur at the Victorian Amateur.
After a first round 1 over 73 at 13th Beach Golf Links Lee turned in three consecutive rounds of under-par golf to complete his week 12 under. Lee's best round was his second day 7-under 65 and it could have been even better had it not been for an 18th hole double-bogey, his only slip up of the round.
After a 2-under 70 in the third round, Lee concluded his week with the round of the day, a 4-under 68. Lee highlighted his final round with an eagle on the par-5 fifth.
The strong showing by Lee doesn't come as much of a surprise, so far in 2017 the native of Australia has finished as the Australian Men's Amateur runner-up and tied for fifth at the Avondale Amateur Medal.
