LAGUNA, Philippines (February 10, 2017) -- An even-par final day was good enough for Ira Christian Alido as he claimed the Philippines W Express RVF Cup Amateur. With his final day even-par 72 at Canlubang Golf and Country Club Alido was able to finish 6 under and two shots in front of the 4 under Hyung Joo Kim.

Alido started his day with a two shot but quickly gave it back with a first hole double-bogey. However, from there Alido was sharp playing 2 under golf the rest of the way with his bounce back starting with a birdie on No. 2.

Weiwei Gao was third at 3 under while Yuto Katsuragawa and Ruperto Zaragosa shared fourth at 2 under.

In the Women's Division Harmie Constantino rallied from four down to finish atop the leaderboard. Constantino blew past third round leader Jeong-Min Hwang thanks to a final round 3-under 69 that saw her post a 1 over tally for the week.

Hwang ended up 3 over and in second place two behind while Yuka Saso was third at 5 over.

With his best round yet Ira Christian Alido continues to lead the way at the Philippines W Express RVF Cup Amateur. On Thursday at Canlubang Golf and Country Club Alido fired a third round 3-under 69 to move to 6 under and he will now carry a two-stroke lead into the final round.

Alido came roaring out of the gates with second and third hole birdies before turning in 1-under 35. A bogey on the 11th dropped Alido back to even-par for the round but a surge was on the horizon and it began on the ensuing hole.

Ruperto Zaragosa moved into solo second place with a 4-under 68 that brought him to 4 under and two off the pace. Hyung-Joo Kim moved into third with a 4-under 68 of his own to reach 2 under for the tournament.

For the third straight day the lead in the Women's Division has changed hands and now leading the way it is Jeong-Min Hwang. Sitting at even-par Hwang leads 36-hole pace setter Harmie Constantino by four-strokes with one day left to play.
