91 players made the 36-hole cut and they are all within 10-strokes of the lead
MIAMI, FL (December 20, 2016) -- The day started with five players tied for the lead but now that number is down to two, Graysen Huff and Chandler Blanchet. Both players are 9-under and with two rounds remaining they will carry a one-stroke lead into the third round.
After shooting a 5-under 65 at Normandy Shores Golf Club on Monday, Huff fired a 4-under 67 on a calm Tuesday at Miami Beach Golf Club. The Auburn sophomore birdied six times during his round and bogeyed twice. Five of his birdies came from Nos. 7-15.
During the fall season Huff picked up the first individual title of his Tigers career at the ASU Fall Beach Classic.
Chandler Blanchet, a junior for Division II power West Florida, played his second round at Normandy Shores Golf Club and posted a bogey-free 4-under 66. His birdies came on the 3rd, 8th, 10th and 12th holes.
Blanchet picked up an individual title this fall by winning the Golfweek Fall Invitational.
A trio of players --Stephan Franken (NC State), Ryan Lumsden (Northwestern) and Scott Stevens (South Carolina)-- are currently tied for third at 8-under and just one-stroke back.
Franken, with a flawless 8-under 62 at Normandy Shores Golf Club, far and away had the round of the tournament. The NC State product birdied five holes on the front nine before catching fire once more down the stretch with three birdies over the course of the final six holes, including one on No. 18.

In all 91 players made the 36-hole cut and they are all within 10-strokes of the lead. Wednesday's third round will begin at 7:30 a.m.
