Mike Arnold is one back heading into the final day at Black Diamond Ranch

LECANTO, FL (December 1, 2016) -- With one round remaining at the Golfweek Senior Tour Championship at Black Diamond Ranch Steve Humphrey is still clinging onto a one-stroke lead. For the second consecutive day Humphrey shot a 1-over 73 and he will enter the final day 2-over-par. The leader by a shot after each of the first two rounds had a bookmark sort of day. He began on the 10th and started his round with a birdie before dropping shots on the 11th, 17th, 18th and 2nd holes. Sitting at 3-over for the day Humphrey rebounded late with birdies on 6th and the 9th to bookmark his round. Mike Arnold, on the prowl for his second Golfweek win of the year is one back in second place at 3-over. The winner of the Golfweek Senior Match Play has shot rounds of 74-73 and on Thursday he birdied twice and bogeyed three-times. Mark Nickerson (+5) is third, AmateurGolf.com fourth ranked senior James Starnes (+6) is fourth and Hal Wright (+7) is fifth. SUPER SENIOR DIVSION Robert Hess turned a one shot lead after the opening 18-holes into a four-stroke lead with 18-holes remaining. Hess has posted scores of 73-74 and he currently sits at 3-over. During the second round Hess carded three birdies, all of them coming during a five hole stretch from Nos. 11-15. A trio of players --Gary Kirwan, Evan Long and Bill Engel-- are tied for second at 7-over. Jim Rollefson (+8) is fifth. LEGENDS DIVISION Edward Craig didn't have his best day but he still holds a four-stroke lead in the Legends Division. One day after shooting an even-par 72 Craig shot an 8-over 80 to sit at 8-over. Michael Budlong (+12) is in second place and Elston Mitchell (+14) is third.
