Final round even par 71 takes title
POMPANO BEACH, Florida (January 5, 2007) --Mu Hu of Celebration, Florida played golf last week with PGA Tour Champion Andy Bean. Bean had won the 1975 Dixie Amateur and that may have been an omen for Hu who just won the 76th Annual Dixie Amateur shooting a -9 under Par score of 275.
Hu dominated each day of the tournament with rounds of 68, 66, 70 & 71. Bud Cauley of Jacksonville, Florida was second with a 6 under Par 278. Lion Kim and Ji Moon both of Lake Mary, Florida along with Minghao Wang of Reunion, Florida tied for third place.
Mr. Hu, originally from China, is recently back from playing in the 2006 HSBC Championship in Shanghai won by David Howell with Tiger Woods as the runner up.
