Jirapon Carlson of Macon and Kay Yun of Johns Creek finished 2-under at River Forest Golf Club

FORSYTH, GA (September 20, 2016) -- Jirapon Carlson of Macon and Kay Yun of Johns Creek paired up and won the Georgia Women's Team Championship with a 2-under-par 140 (74-66) total. The 31st edition of this competition took place at River Forest Golf Club. Carlson and Yun collect their first title at this competition as they earn the two-stroke victory over four-time winners Danielle Davis of St. Simons Island and Ginette Spinucci of Stone Mountain, who finished at even-par 142 (72-70). Mo Gronning of Centerville and Mary Riley of Perry finished third at 2-over-par 144 (73-71). Betsy Butler of Atlanta and Phyllis Foisy of Monroe came in fourth at 7-over-par 149 (81-68). The duo of Sherry Hutchet of Peachtree City and Mary Helen McElreath of Augusta finished fifth at 14-over-par 156 (79-77). Rounding out the Championship Division was the tandem of Maria Johnson and Tracy Lindsey, both of Jesup, in sixth place at 20-over-par 162 (85-77). In the Net Division, Deena Smith of Forsyth and Barbara Stuart of Macon won the first flight at 10-under-par 132 (64-68). In the second flight, Mara Bushee of North Augusta and Sandra Moody of Waynesboro won at 6-under-par 136 (66-70). Jackie Elliott of Macon and Karen Vesper of Forsyth earned honors in flight three at 2-under-par 140 (64-76). Rounding out the Net Division in flight four were Mary Jo Adams of Warner Robins and Brenda Duke of Perry at 7-over-par 149 (69-80).
