Dale Bouguennec opens with a 67 and will take a three shot lead into the final round

MATHER, Calif. (September 3, 2016) -- Dale Bouguennec of Pleasant Hill, Calif. leads the Senior division of California State Fair after posting the lone round in the 60's, a 5-under 67. Bouguennec, a multiple amateurgolf.com tour winner, leads by three shots over last year's champion Mark Morgan and Tim Grunsky. Sitting just four shots back is Dave Baskins and William Goll after opening with 1-under 71. It's a crowded leaderboard in the Super-senior division as three players share the lead while four sit just one shot back. The three in the lead after an opening round even-par 72 are Bob Thomason, Bob Olds, and Carl Selkirk. The final pairing tees off at 10:14am local time at Mather Golf Course.
